Inner Sanctum

Inner Sanctum at the Everard Read Gallery in Johannesburg brings together 50 local artists, each exploring the role their studio plays in their creative practice. This exhibition delves into the diverse ways studios shape and reflect an artist’s work, highlighting how no two creative spaces are the same.
Alchemy

In 2020 there was a devastating fire at a home in the winelands. Salvaged shards were incorporated into artworks to remind us of the impermanence of precious things.
In Search of the Birds of the Sea

Collaboration between Keiskamma Art Project and artists, facilitated by Spier Arts Trust. This is a collaboration between artists and embroiderers to co-create wholly unique tapestries, demonstrating the power of community, knowledge-sharing, culture and heritage.
